Today’s topic is about samvatsara, well many of you already know about it. Vikram Samvat, Shaka Samvat and there are other regional calendars as well. For example, as a Bengali we follow a different pachang. For festivals, tithis are important for which Vikram Samvat or your respective regional samvatsara is good enough. However, when you are predicting national events always prefer Shaka Samvat. Even in my research I have found Shaka Samvat more accurate as compared to Vikram Samvat for the same. So by this logic if we check the current Vikram Samvat is 2083 Siddharthi till 21 April 2026. After which the Raudra Samvatsara will begin. And because of this, all the predictions of Raudra Samvatsara destruction, demolition, blah blah, etc are all over YouTube. But if we look at the Shaka Samvat it is 1948 Parabhava. The reference used is from drikpanchang.com. It is a recommended website for panchang related queries. To put it briefly, starting April 21st, what happens will not be because of Raudra Samvatsara, but the country’s Mars Mahadasha. There are sixty Samvatsara, you can read them online. Now if you follow the Shaka Samvat; after Parabhava it is Vibhava. Both are good samvatsara. In Jyotish, since there are numerous correlated parameters involved, sometimes people get deluded into causality and think this parameter is the reason for the cause and effect, which is not true. A good example currently is the ongoing USA-Iran war, in which Dubai became collateral damage. If even 50% of the reports are true; that business is pulling its plug out of Dubai. So, all those investments are going to be back to their respective countries or emerging markets. It is my guess although I have not used Jyotish for this, since the AT1 bonds scam of HDFC Bank happened for a Dubai branch, my guess is; they tried to pull back their funds and suddenly realized they lost it, I may be wrong. India’s lot of businesses park their assets in Dubai. So, don’t be surprised if a sudden influx of wealth comes into the Indian market. It’s possible that you may witness this causality live on screen when someone will rationalize it with another parameter.
