I always used to ask this question myself a decade ago if time is non-linear, is it cyclical or relative or is it God? After all, calling time as God wouldn’t be wrong if you go by the meaning “Kaala se bada koi nahi”, it is a Hindi phrase which means nothing is powerful more than time. The wheel decides when someone becomes a king and when one becomes a pauper. If we call time a metric, then also it is not wrong. But the most important facet of time is being relative. I don’t want to tell you about quantum physics because I am no expert on that. But the most easy way to understand it which I also apply for my work is something may be useful for you as well. So consider a reference point, anything above that point is higher levels of consciousness and anything below is lower levels of consciousness. The theme of ‘As above so below’ applies here. All insects worms are in the lower level of consciousness and highest form can’t be perceived for mortals but for the moment consider it to be Brahma. So we know one day of Brahma is equivalent 4.32 billion years. Now, if you want to test the strength of time, the moment your consciousness goes to lower levels your body will age fast, and when it goes to higher levels of consciousness, it will age slower. Similarly, if there are two person one person being awakened, and another is not, then the time will be relative for both of them. In terms of metric, the time will be same, but on a consciousness level it will be different i.e., four years of a realised person may be equivalent to lifetimes of another person. There was an interesting story mentioned in the scriptures where lord Brahma’s four mind-born sons went to visit Lord Vishnu in Vaikuntha (his abode), they were stopped by the gatekeeper. And for wasting their time the sages cursed the gatekeeper for rebirths. Now, if you think of it as fiction, then it is just a story, but when you look at the underlying concept here, you understand it is all about time being relative. You might be wondering why is all this even relevant and I am disclosing this to you. Now here is the fun part: whenever you meet a sage in an orange robe or any person who has achieved realization on their own, their words become the words similar to that of Brahma, and that is why a guru can make or break you. It is for the same reason during Dwapar Yuga we only had “shadripus” (shad=six + ripus=sin). It was during then the true significance of Guru was still alive, hence the seventh pillar was not broken, only six sins, but as we moved to Kali Yuga, all seven are broken. Therefore, before you make a person as your guru or become a blind follower you have to careful not everyone that wears a saintly robe is authentic and not everyone is fraud. And mostly people avoid because of the fear of disrespecting and destroying their fortunes. As a result, over the years the fear has percolated in people so much that they respect any tom dick harry wearing a robe, and it makes them susceptible to horrendous crimes, duping and even worse destroying the original sentiment for which it was established. Now, I had a fair share of charlatans in my life and it is not my first rodeo to remove chaff from the wheat. But this time it is even much interesting as we speak, most of the frauds that do crimes against people particularly in spiritual community thinks they have to pay for only those many years. But what they forget is their number of years is not equivalent to the ones they are attacking. So, hypothetically let say someone is hurting or attacking for four years then the output will be in lifetimes and for some in generations depending on the conciousness level of the attacker. This is exactly the method Sages used when they break or make Kings. Now, imagine if someone is not wearing the saintly robe but is a realised one, then charlatans and frauds will become very much comfortable in abusing slurs or different methods, but the moment it start reflecting back in their life they will realize they are done for generations, if not lifetimes. It is always a better lesson to treat others fairly particularly when you are initiating the action, you never know someone may be waiting for you to misjudge, hurl slurs and do all diabolical actions so that it brings in desolation for your entire lineage. And they will say you nothing or fight you, just smile like a kid with ecstasy.
